Recipe Alert: Lamb Meatballs with Jameson BBQ Sauce

It’s National Meatball Day and to celebrate, we are sharing a meatball recipe that is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day next week!

Jameson BBQ sauce

¼ cup minced yellow onions
1 Tbsp minced garlic
¼ cup brown sugar
1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
¼ cup honey
¾ cup ketchup
1/3 cup Jameson 
¼ cup Dijon mustard
2-star anise
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Salt and black pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and simmer until the sauce begins to thicken, about 15 minutes. Strain through a mesh strainer and let cool.


Lamb Meatballs
2 lbs. ground lamb
3 eggs
½ cup panko
2 Tbsp Worcestershire
2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp minced garlic

Preheat oven to 375°. Combine all ingredients and form into 1” meatballs. Place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and place in the oven. Cook for about 12-15 minutes, or until springy to the touch. Serve with the Jameson BBQ glaze.
